Marilyn E. Luerssen, age 86, was a resident of the Wauconda-Island Lake area for 22 years and formerly of Palatine, IL.
Marilyn was the beloved wife for 68 years of Warren; loving mother of Robert Lee, Susan and the late Mary Lou (Thomas) Woppert; cherished grandmother of Rob (Song) Luerssen, Tiffany (Joshua) Geary, Lori (Stuart) Bennett, Kimberly Thompson and Kelly (Jayson) Shawd; devoted great grandmother of Amanda, Judy, Joseph, Jacob, John, Beau, Bella, Taylor, Makayla and Hunter; proud great great grandmother of Evan.
Marilyn was born March 2, 1926 in Plato Center, IL and passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM with a memorial service at 4:30 PM at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, IL 60084.
