Stephen F. Butler, age 57, was a resident of Wauconda, IL for 3 years.
Steve was the beloved husband of Kathy; loving father of Amanda (Chris) Edwards, Jessica and Krista; devoted son of Mary and the late Richard; dear brother of Rick, Billy (Amy), David ( Amy) and Casey.
Steve was born February 22, 1955 in Lockport, NY and passed away suddenly on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL.
Steve loved his family and was a protector of his wife and daughters and was a fixer of everything. Steve was a Navy Veteran, was voted outstanding recruit and was a submarine missile tech and served on the USS Daniel Webster (SSBN-626). He enjoyed music, especially Reely Dan and playing guitar, fishing, and drag racing. Steve was an exquisite chef, a computer genius and loved Binx, the cat. Steve enjoyed his neighbors at Lakeside and was a big guy with a gentle heart.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2013, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, IL. On Friday, February 22, 2013, prayers will start at the funeral home at 9:30 AM, proceeding to Transfiguration Parish 348 W. Mill St., Wauconda,IL, mass 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
