Louis H. Geary, of Wauconda, passed away peacefully at home in Wauconda on January 31, 2013.
Louis was the beloved husband for 20 years of the late Anita ; loving father of James, Pearl City, IL, David (Eileen) and Robert of Wauconda, IL, Ronald (Jennifer), Lakemoor ,IL and Mary Lou Grinnell, Sharon, WI; beloved grandfather of 12; dear brother of Patty Osborne, Nancy Gregory, and Wendy Paschke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius "Dud" and Evelyn (Beth) Geary of Lake Zurich,IL.
Louis was born in Dundee, Ill. He grew up in Lake Zurich where he graduated from Ela-Vernon High School. After returning from military service in 1954, he resided in Wauconda where he began raising his family. Louis served as a proud member of the Wauconda Volunteer Fire Department and the Wauconda American Legion. Lou was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Lake County’s Winchester House in Libertyville.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 1:30 PM till the time of memorial service 3:30 PM at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main Street, Wauconda, IL.
