Laura Elizabeth Hyde; beloved wife of the late Thomas Patrick Hyde; loving mother of Thomas P. Jr. (Sharon); cherished grandmother of Brady and Lyndsey; and fond aunt of Janet (Duke) Messenger.
Born June 11, 1915 in Edgerton, WI, she passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Barrington. She was 97 years old.
Laura was a resident of Island Lake and was formerly of Arlington Heights and Mt. Prospect. She worked as a 6th grade teacher and retired from School District #15 in Palatine after over 25 years of service. Laure was also a graduate of Downers College in Milwaukee, WI.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda and also on Saturday, February 2, from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 405 W. State Rte. 176, Island Lake. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, DesPlaines.
